Belize Electricity Limited to address multiple emergencies in Belize District caused by stormy weather

By Aaron Humes: Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) has announced that it is “aware of multiple emergencies currently affecting the Belize District as a result of the storm. Our team will be resolving all these situations based on the most critical conditions, but the situation will be addressed as soon as it is safe for our team to do so.”

The power company added that it continues to monitor weather conditions countrywide and states, “Intermittent power outages may be experienced during this time, as our devices work to protect and stabilize excessive high or low voltage. We remind our customers to unplug any equipment or device that is not in use during this time and use surge protectors where possible.”
