Belize Weather: Holiday Monday weather still Julia-influenced

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Julia-influenced conditions continue to linger countrywide according to the National Meteorological Service on this holiday Monday.

Skies today will be mostly cloudy with some showers, thunderstorms and periods of rain, especially in the center and north, decreasing tonight.

High temperatures peak at 84 degrees Fahrenheit in coastal areas, 86 degrees in inland areas and 75 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 77 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 67 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 15 to 25 knots. Sea state is rough and a small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas. A strong thunderstorm watch and flood warning both remain in effect. Tides will be high at 10:24 this morning and 10:07 this evening and low at 4:17 this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:34 this evening and rises at 5:44 Tuesday morning.

Tuesday brings mostly cloudy skies with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms at either end of the country.
