Posted: Monday, October 10, 2022. 8:09 pm CST.

By Benjamin Flowers: Due to the persistent rains, a number of schools have announced that there will be no classes tomorrow, October 11.

Sacred Heart Junior College in San Ignacio issued a notice earlier confirming that there will be no classes.

The University of Belize also issued a notice saying that there will be no in-person classes at all its campuses tomorrow, but that students are being asked to participate in on-line learning; Horizon Academy issued a notice to parents saying the same.

Schools continue to monitor the changes in weather and update accordingly, parents, guardians, and students are urged to monitor for any notices that may come from the institutions relating to them.

The latest weather forecast calls for heavy rains to affect portions of the country tomorrow, due to a tropical disturbance traveling towards the Gulf of Mexico.
