The San Ignacio-Santa Elena Market was moved temporarily to Falcon Field in San Ignacio near the Town Council on Joseph Andrews Boulevard on Monday.
The move was made necessary after the downtown area by the San Ignacio Welcome Center and San Ignacio Market was flooded by waters of the Macal River on Monday afternoon.
On Tuesday morning the market area still had water.
San Ignacio-Santa Elena Mayor Earl Trapp said the Town Council had started the clean-up but the vendors were still not allowed to move back in as water was still receding
The vendors will move back once the Town Council gives the green light.
