By Aaron Humes: Professors from the Florida International University (FIU) School of Tourism will be doing certified training in hospitality and tourism this Thursday at the Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel, according to Leader of the Opposition Moses “Shyne” Barrow.
“As a result of my meeting last week with the Dean of the FIU School of Tourism, Professor Chang, Professor Grutman and DJ Khaled, I had a great welcome meeting with Dr. [Christopher] Muller, who used to be the Dean of [the school of hospitality administration at] Boston University, and his colleague from the FIU School of Tourism who as I told you last week would be visiting Belize from Florida,” Barrow announced, adding, “We discussed how Belize can grow her tourism sector, micro-lending for entrepreneurs and a myriad of possibilities for brand Belize.
Those interested in participating are asked to contact the Leader of the Opposition’s office immediately.
Barrow added, “I look forward to continuing to establish and strengthen relationships with international stakeholders in tourism and other industries for the advancement of Belize.”
Barrow was in Miami, Florida, last week as a guest at FIU for a lecture along with DJ Khaled.
