By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service projects generally fair weather today and going into the weekend.
Skies today will be sunny with cloudy spells and partly cloudy tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated except for slightly more over inland areas this afternoon and in the south tonight.
High temperatures peak at 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 92 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 81 degrees along the coast, 73 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to 15 knots. The sea will be slight with waves one to three feet tall. A flood warning continues in effect for communities along rivers in the center and south.
Tides will be low at 7:19 this morning and 6:24 this evening and high at 1:18 this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:31 this evening and rises at a quarter to six Saturday morning.
On Saturday expect cloudy spells with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms in the daytime, increasing after nightfall along the coast.
