Ladyville man arrested for murder of Norman Castillo in Hopkins Village

By Benjamin Flowers: Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with the September 30 murder of Norman Castillo which occurred in Hopkins Village.

Today, officers formally arrested and charged 20-year-old Jahiem Joseph, a resident of Ladyville Village, Belize District for the crime of murder.

Castillo was in his yard socializing with relatives when a group of men passed and an altercation ensued between him and one of them. During the altercation, Castillo was stabbed twice to the upper right of his chest.

Castillo was pronounced dead on arrival at the Southern Regional Hospital in Dangriga.
