By Rubén Morales Iglesias: A Belize Water Services (BWS) water truck and a San Ignacio Town Council water truck are distributing potable water to communities in the San Ignacio-Santa Elena Cayo District.
San Ignacio-Santa Elena mayor Earl Trapp said the move is an effort to alleviate the situation caused by the recent flood.
BWS said the water trucks are currently in the Santa Elena area, particularly Santa Cruz, Hillview, Cristo Rey, and Esperanza, and will then be moving to San Ignacio on to the Bullet Tree Road, Cahal Pech and Kontiki areas.
“If you currently do not have water and are not in the areas specified, kindly contact Customer Services,” said BWS.
“We will try our utmost best to deliver water to your premises.”
BWS said Customer Services can be reached toll-free at 0-800-225-5297 or 0-800-297-5325. They may also be accessed through WhatsApp at 614-2975, 613-2975, or 600-5755.
You may also reach them through Instagram @BELIZE.WATER.SERVICES.
