Posted: Saturday, October 15, 2022. 10:17 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: On Saturday night, one Roberto Arana was admitted to the hospital in critical but stable condition following a chopping incident in the village of Scotland Halfmoon, Belize District.

Police found two severed fingers and blood at the corner of the bus shed at the junction of the Texas Road in the village.

According to witnesses at the scene, Arana and two Hispanic young men got into an altercation and one of them, dressed all in black, chopped Arana several times. The two then fled the scene in the victim’s black pick-up truck, leaving Arana to be escorted by private vehicle to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize City.

The suspects are said to be from Belize City. They are being held by Ladyville police as the investigation continues.
