U-17 Belize Women’s National Team training in Belmopan for Concacaf 2022 Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Qualifiers

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The U-17 Belize Women’s National Team (BWNT) is training in Belmopan this weekend in preparation for the Concacaf 2022 Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Qualifiers.

The Qualifiers are scheduled for August 24-31, 2023.

The U-17 BWNT, which includes three United States-based players, went into camp under head coach Iris Centeno on Friday evening and will be at the FFB Headquarters in Belmopan until Sunday.

“We have kicked off U-17 National team preparation very early this time,” said coach Centeno, who is also the Director of Women’s Football at the FFB.

“We don’t longer wanna have our girls coming into camp a short period of time and expect them to do miracles out there. Tonight, we saw a good number of promising rising stars. I strongly believe that with the support of parents, the schools, the local clubs, the technical staff and the Football Federation of Belize, we can definitely get these young dreamers to develop not only sport wise but also as individuals.”
