Police Department bids farewell to Police Constable Lorray Arzu

By Aaron Humes: An official statement on the passing of Police Constable Lorray Arzu was just issued a short while ago by the Belize Police Department.

The statement in full reads: “It’s with profound sadness that the Minister of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries, Kareem Musa; CEO Kevin Arthurs and Commissioner of Police Chester Williams announce the untimely passing of [Police Constable] Lorray Arzu. At 10:33 am PC 88 Arzu passed away [while] being hospitalized at the KHMH ICU [Intensive Care Unit]. Please continue to pray for her family and her Police family during this difficult time.”

Police continue to search for the person that shot Arzu and Lionel Rowland last Wednesday in Dangriga.
