By Benjamin Flowers: COVID-19 has claimed another Belizean life, according to the latest national report issued by the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW).
The new death was recorded between October 12-17, bringing the national total for deaths up to 687.
The report shows that during the survey period there were a total of 17 new cases, added to 24 active infections. The Belize District recorded seven of the 17 new cases, with six of those infections emerging from Belize City.
The MOHW continues to encourage Belizeans that have not done so to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
