English Language Educators invited to participate in OPEN professional development courses

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The United States Embassy in Belize is inviting educators to participate in the Winter Online Professional English Network (OPEN).

The OPEN program offers English teachers the opportunity to participate in an 8-week professional development course developed by U.S. universities.

Courses include Fostering Student Motivation and Engagement, English as a Medium of Instruction, Professional Development for Teacher Trainers, and more.

Applications are open and those interested can contact the Public Affairs Office at [email protected] for an application package and a full description of courses, no later than October 21, 2022.

Previous applicants that were not selected can also re-apply.
