International News: Nicaraguan Government releases over 1,100 inmates

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Nicaraguan Government has released over 1,100 inmates, Prensa Latina reports.

The inmates were reintegrated into society as part of the legal benefit of family life.

“We are convinced that each of the prisoners will know how to take advantage of their freedom. Enjoy every moment of your freedom and remember that all the mistakes made can be changed,” said Minister Maria Amelia Coronel.

Minister Coronel urged them not to repeat their mistakes and build a dignified life with their families.

“You are all fathers, mothers, children and wives who are celebrating with the greatest blessing they can have apart from freedom, it is the memory of those who wait for you outside,” Coronel added.

The inmates had been serving sentences in the different prison systems of Nicaragua.
