Parents in Alta Vista, Stann Creek concerned about high school bus runs

By BBN Staff: Parents from Alta Vista in Stann Creek reached out to BBN to share their concerns regarding the bus runs from Alta Vista to Dangriga in the Stann Creek District.

According to the parents, from the beginning of the school year, the person responsible for the bus runs changes the buses weekly and even a busito was chartered to do the school runs in some instances.

This morning, parents were unsure who would be transporting the students to school.

The parents say that they have shared their concerns with officials at the Ministry of Education and the Minister of Transport, however, the issue has not been resolved.

“It is so sad to see this is happening that the students don’t know what transport will take them to school every Monday morning…we are tired of this situation,” they said.
