Statistics from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) indicate that 6,306 civilians have died during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as of October 16, 2022.
Of them, 397 were children.
Furthermore, 9,602 people were reported to have been injured.
Russia continues to attack critical energy infrastructure and over 1,000 towns and villages were left without power after strikes on Tuesday.
Ukrainian Human Rights Defender, Maria Kurinna says that Russia continues to violate International Law and disregard the 1990 charter of Paris for New Europe.
Ukrainians have documented war crimes including disappearances, torture, sexual violence, and life threats against vocal activists.
