By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: During a roundtable discussion held this morning virtually on Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, Former Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament, Hanna Hopko said that Russia continues its acts of state terrorism in Ukraine.
Hopko stated that it has now been 238 days of full-scale escalation since Russia began its attempt to destroy Ukraine.
Hopko noted that civilians are dying and Russia is using ballistic missiles and rockets.
Recently, Russia conducted almost 200 strikes in 11 days in Ukraine.
“Russian troops continue their acts of state terrorism with attacks on energy and water infrastructure,” Hopko added.
The former parliamentarian said that Russia’s war on Ukraine is a threat to global food security since Ukraine is the biggest supplier of food, oil, wheat, and grains.
At this time, Ukraine continues to advocate for tougher sanctions against Russia.
Ukrainians are clamoring for more support and solidarity from other countries to save lives.
Hopko said that Ukrainians are praying every day and the fighting spirit of the Ukrainian armed forces remains very high to defend freedom, liberty, and dignity.
