By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE) celebrates World Food Day activities on Friday. The World Food Day was to have been observed on October 14 but due to the bad weather related to Tropical Storm Julia which later turned into a hurricane, MAFSE postponed the activities for October 21.
The Ministry said the venue remains ANRI on Canada Hill Road in Hope Creek in the Stann Creek District. Activities will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The main address at the opening ceremony will be delivered by MAFSE Minister Jose Abelardo Mai.
Dr Louis Zabaneh, Minister of State for Education, Culture, Science and Technology, will give the welcome remarks and Emilio Rene Montero, National Food and Nutrition Security Commission (NFNSC) coordinator, will give the Vote of Thanks.
Agricultural, industrial, and educational booths will be on display.
