National MSME Roadshow comes to Placencia

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The National Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Roadshow is being hosted in Placencia.

The event is being held at the Village Council Center where entrepreneurs are convening for 3 days of training, development, and funding opportunities for their businesses.

Prime Minister John Briceno says that the Government of Belize and Beltraide has been spotlighting, supporting, and strengthening innovation in Belize’s MSME sector.

“On the Road Weekly, the MSME Roadshow has been working with our entrepreneurs across the country providing a hand of support and encouraging their innovative ideas and businesses. Innovation… in business. Now we’re in Placencia and we are encouraged by our local entrepreneurs and we remain convinced that opportunity for improved quality of life for our people in supporting and securing success for their small scale investments,” PM Briceno said.

The roadshow concludes on Friday with a pop-up shop at the football field.

Three participating women entrepreneurs will get the chance to win $2,500 by pitching their businesses.
