Cancer sucks! Nelly Guzman passes away

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: October is observed as Cancer Awareness Month and it is an opportunity to provide support to those battling the disease and raise awareness of cancer prevention and research.

Losing a family member or friend to cancer during the month of October is very heartbreaking. And so it is for family and friends of San Ignacio native, Nelly Guzman who lost the battle with cancer on October 20, 2022.

Nelly was the past General Manager of Gitz Office Supplies in the heart of San Ignacio. The staff of Gitz Office Supplies joined in extending condolences to her family and friends.

“Ms. Nelly had been with us for more than 20 years, and her dedication and commitment had been an integral part of our company’s growth and success. Our sincere condolences from The Gitz team to the Guzman family. May her soul rest in peace,” Gitz said.

The funeral service for Nelly Guzman was held at Sacred Heart Church on today at 2pm.

May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory!
