American retiree robbed in home invasion

By Aaron Humes: An American retiree faced multiple home invaders on Saturday in San Ignacio.

According to Sheldon Dannelly, two men entered his home armed with guns and robbed him and his guests of a wallet containing US$300; a 2004 green Honda Element vehicle valued at $16,000; a small safe containing US$3,600; and a Samsung Galaxy A135G cell phone valued at $600, for a total value of $24,400.

Police are investigating.
