Belize City man attacked, left critical in hospital

By Aaron Humes: A George Street man is in critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after being beaten for no apparent reason.

John Jeffords, 42, reported to be a mental patient, had gone to purchase some items at a store on Friday when he was apparently beaten by persons unknown.

He was taken for medical treatment and police investigations continue.
