By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE) is reactivating its school garden’s programme. On Tuesday, MAFSE visited Our Lady of Guadalupe RC School in Belmopan.
“Extension Officer Abimael Puck, stationed in Belmopan, today had the full attention of students at Our Lady of Guadalupe RC School in Belmopan as they learnt about preparing seed beds, irrigation, planting cilantro seeds, cultivating and harvesting their own food and the importance of agriculture in our daily lives,” said MAFSE in a social media post.
MAFSE said Extension Officer Puck is doing routine visits to primary schools that have school gardens that were left unattended due to COVID-19.
