International News: St. Louis High School teacher remembered as a Hero for saving students

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Three people including a teacher lost their lives in a shooting that occurred in St. Louis on Monday, Yahoo reports.

Jean Kuczka, 61, died protecting her students from the gunman.

Her daughter, Abbey says that her mom is a “hero” because she died protecting her students.

“When I first heard about the shooting, I had no idea it was my mom. But I know she got in front of the gunfire to save those kids. That was her passion. My mom’s a hero,” Abbey Kuczka said.

The gunman reportedly entered Jean’s classroom at the Central Visual and Performing Arts High School and she stood in front of him to protect her students.

Kuczka is remembered by family, friends, and colleagues for her dedication and spirit.
