By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology in partnership with Digi Belize has launched the ConnectEd project.
This week works concluded at Stella Maris School to bring high-speed and reliable wireless internet connection to the teachers and students of the institution.
The Ministry says that it recognizes that the innovative use of technology is essential to the goal of achieving a modern, effective education system.
“Given also, our commitment to special education, Stella Maris was prioritized in the ConnectEd project,” the Ministry noted.
The ConnectEd project will provide and boost internet access to over 33,000 students and 1,900 teachers in 200 schools across Belize.
