Belize City mechanic knocked out and robbed

By Benjamin Flowers: A Belize City mechanic was the victim of a violent robbery yesterday.

Fifty-two-year-old Rony Castillo told police that he was at his workplace on Saturday when a man approached him and demanded money and valuables. Castillo said he then felt pain to the side of his face and he fell unconscious.

While Castillo was incapacitated, the assailant stole two cell phones with a combined value of $1,400, before making his escape.

Police are investigating.
