How did Asian business owner who was out on bail for a drug trafficking charge receive bail a second time?

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Asian business owner, 33-year-old Zhi Jun Huang, was already out on bail on a charge of drug trafficking in July when he was charged again for the same offense earlier this month and still managed to secure bail again.

Huang stands accused of showing up to the Queen Street Police Station on October 21, with 6.4 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine (Crystal Meth) in his possession. Huang was charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply to another on October 24, and was granted bail, despite his previous offense, in the sum of $5,000 plus one surety of the same.

He is set to return to court on November 29 with respect to the recent offense. Huang, his wife, and five others were charged with drug-related offenses on July 21. Police reportedly busted the group in possession of marijuana, crack cocaine, and crystal meth. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for that incident.

As a normal stipulation of bail in Belize, one cannot be charged for any other offense while out on bail, or it would, in the normal course, result in the bail for the first offense being revoked.
