Belize Weather: Anticipation of rough time ahead

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts mainly fair conditions over the next 24 to 36 hours. Then, increased moisture and instability should be expected as the ongoing tropical disturbance comes closer.

Skies today will be mostly sunny and tonight partly cloudy with little or no rainfall expected.

High temperatures are 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 92 degrees over inland areas and 79 degrees over the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 74 degrees over the coast, 66 in inland areas and 62 in the hills.

Winds are easterly to northeasterly at zero to ten knots and sea state is slight with wave heights of one to three feet.

Tides will be low at 9:26 this morning and 8:10 this evening and high at 4 this afternoon. Sunset occurs at 5:21 this evening and sunrise on Tuesday morning at 5:51.

Expect continued mostly fair weather on Tuesday with isolated showers and thunderstorms increasing into the night.
