“Operation Fast Ball:” Belize Defence Force soldiers recalled for active duty during Tropical Storm Lisa

By Aaron Humes: As of 4:30 this afternoon, members of the Belize Defence Force (BDF) regular element currently on annual leave and stand must report to the nearest military installation for duty in respect to the approaching Tropical Storm Lisa.

The Ministry of National Defence and Border Security is implementing what is known as “Operation Fast Ball”, continuing its preparation and readiness plan of action to respond appropriately to any eventuality caused by and in anticipation of Tropical Storm Lisa.
