Government of Belize activates Emergency Command Center

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Prime Minister John Briceno says that the Government has activated its command center in preparation for the impending arrival of Tropical Storm Lisa.

“We are right now in the Cabinet Room with NEMO and all government emergency agencies and relevant departments reviewing the most recent updates as well as plans for each area that will possibly be impacted,” the Prime Minister said.

The public is reminded to stay informed, listen to only official information, and act accordingly for the protection of themselves and their families.

“Let’s all be safe and act timely,” he added.
