Special Envoy urges to activate home emergency plans as Tropical Storm Lisa approaches

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children, Rosanna Briceno is urging everyone to activate their home emergency plans in preparation for Tropical Storm Lisa.

“As women, we often are the head of our household that puts our emergency preparations in place.  We’re in such a situation right now.  In your planning remember the children and elderly… remember any needed medications and the needs of your children and elderly,” Briceno said.

Briceno reminds the public to keep informed and heed to official advice.

“Take note of the nearest shelters and plan with any necessary travel time in mind. Let’s be safe and look out for others in need,” the Special Envoy added.
