Three year old son of popular Afrobeats singer Davido dies by apparent drowning; Stig Da Artist sends condolences

By Aaron Humes: Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer Davido recently lost his three year old son Ifeanyi Adeleke to apparent drowning according to multiple international sources.

Now Police in Lagos, Nigeria are investigating the death, questioning up to eight domestic workers employed by Davido and fiancée Chioma Rowland, who have not publicly commented.

Police say they have already released six of the eight workers and have still detained two. An autopsy is also likely.

Belize’s Earlyn Hutchinson, stage name Stig the Artist, sent condolences this evening via social media, writing, “Condolences my brother all love and prayers to you and your family from my self and all of Belize @davido.”

In March, Stig appeared with Moses “Shyne” Barrow and Davido on stage at the O2 Arena in London to recognize Davido, real name David Akeleke, as an “outstanding global citizen and friend of Belize,” for their collaboration “Luv Yu Forever,” also featuring DJ Khaled.
