By Aaron Humes: Albert area representative Tracey Taegar-Panton tonight writes that “Hurricane Lisa has hit hard” in her area, which covers most of downtown Belize City, though there is no reported loss of life, for which we must be grateful.
“Rebuilding and restoring will not be easy but if we work together with the relevant Government Agencies; if we work with the competent authorities; and, if we work together as one community, we will get it done,” she added.
And she concluded, “Until we are given the all clear, please shelter in place. Your safety and the safety of your loved ones are our most important priority. Let us continue to pray for Belize. Rest well. Tomorrow we start anew.”
