Belize Electricity Limited commences restoration of services 

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) informs that it joins the rest of the country in our recovery from the damages caused by the passage of Hurricane Lisa on November 2, 2022.

“BEL’s teams have commenced assessments to determine the extent of damages and coordinate our SAFE restoration of power supply to affected areas. In areas where there are extensive damages, power will remain out for longer periods,” BEL noted.

BEL warns the public to stay away from the fallen power lines and DO NOT WALK INTO WATER NEAR FALLEN POWER LINES.

BEL says it will provide further updates on assessments and restoration.
