Water services fully restored, electricity to be fully restored soon

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: During a press conference hosted by Prime Minister John Briceno today, he informed that water is back in most of the country and electricity services is expected to be fully restored countrywide by Sunday.

By the end of today, 50% of Belize City residents were expected to be restored with electricity.

PM John Briceno thanked the frontline workers for their efforts during Hurricane Lisa.

PM Briceno also noted that the international community is responding and ready to assist Belize.

Hurricane Lisa battered Belize on Wednesday causing damage to homes, schools and electricity poles.

Lisa made landfall at 3:20 pm just 10 miles south of Belize City with 85 mph winds.
