Belize Electricity Limited: Power restored to 70% of Belize City customers

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: As of this morning, Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) informed that power has been restored to the Philip Goldson International Airport.

In the Cayo District, up to 95% of customers had their power restored.

In Belize City, 70% of customers had electricity restored and BEL is aiming to have up to 95% of customers in Belize City restored by the end of today.

In addition, BEL is working to have up to 80% of customers in Ladyville and rural areas of the Belize District restored.
