Posted: Friday, November 4, 2022. 3:24 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: According to Leader of the Opposition Moses “Shyne” Barrow, he has been busy in the aftermath of Hurricane Lisa, visiting affected areas across Belize City.

“I spent the morning with our Belize District Zone Coordinator, Ian Jones, visiting the shelters in Belize City and made my general assessment rounds in Mesopotamia, Queen Square, Collet, Lake I, Albert, Pickstock, Fort George, Port Loyola, Freetown, and Caribbean Shores. I also spoke to the Prime Minister to discuss the urgent need for this Government to respond immediately with emergency food relief and housing materials for those in need,” he wrote on social media.

He promises to “continue to follow up to ensure the Belizeans in need get the assistance they deserve,” and to visit the rural Belize District, Cayo, and the South in due course.
