Trio of Belize City men stable after early morning shooting

By Aaron Humes: Police say the targets of this morning’s shooting incident in Belize City are listed in stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).

Khalil Heusner, 27; Malique Humes; 26; and Ruben Usher, 21, were all shot and taken to the hospital.

Initial investigations reveal that at about 6:55 a.m., the three victims were standing near the corner of Berkeley Street and Wagner’s Lane Belize City when a lone gunman came from a nearby alley and fired several shots toward them causing the mentioned injuries.

The area was recently the scene of the murder of Deandre Adolphus which had been attributed to inter-gang rivalry but it is not clear if this incident is related. Police investigations continue.
