Belizean Karimi Lambert attends Commonwealth sports youth leadership conference in Botswana

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizean Karimi Lambert is attending the sport youth leadership Annual eqUIP Conference and Workshop in Botswana, according to the Belize Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (BOCGA).

“Congratulations to Karimi Lambert, our NOC intern, who is on his way to Botswana for a workshop hosted by the Commonwealth Games,” said BOCGA in a social media post.

“Karimi is the person behind “Plus 1%” a database for Belize which maintains information on Coaches, Athletes, and Delegates making registration for games more manageable.”

Lambert is a student at Galen University.

“Galen University congratulates our Galen Eagle Karimi Lambert, who will be representing Belize at the Annual eqUIP Conference and Workshop in Botswana, Africa. We wish him all the best,” said Galen University in a social media post.

The Commonwealth Sport Youth Leadership, eqUIP, is a programme that targets youth of the Commonwealth.

“eqUIP is a Commonwealth wide approach to develop youth leaders through internship and employment opportunities, empowering them to make a positive contribution to their communities through sport,” said the Commonwealth Games Federation.
