COVID report: 15 new cases added in first week of November as virus hangs on

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health reports that 15 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from November 1 to 7 inclusive, adding to the ten active cases countrywide.

One person is hospitalized with symptoms of the virus, which has infected 68,972 persons since March of 2020. 687 deaths have been reported.

Six of the new cases were reported in Belize City, two in Punta Gorda Town, and one each in San Narciso, Corozal; Willows Bank, Belize District; Santa Elena Town; Maya Mopan in Belmopan and St. Matthew’s, Cayo District; Seine Bight, Stann Creek District, and Eldridgeville, Toledo District.
