World Organization for Animal Health to host 26th conference in the Americas

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) will host its 26th Regional Conference of the Regional Commission for the Americas on November 8 and 9, 2022.

The virtual conference will be broadcast live via streaming.

The organization noted that the Regional Conference aims to facilitate dialogue between the region’s delegates, invited experts, and key regional partners along with key staff leading the Organization’s flagship programmes and initiatives.

Discussions will include animal health issues for the region including the main challenges for the eradication of African swine fever in the Dominican Republic and Haiti as well as special sessions on One Health, aquatic animal health, and animal welfare. 

Dr. Monique Eloit, WOAH Director General mentioned “I will be honoured to welcome and to accompany all participants during such an important event for the Region”.
