BREAKING: Attempted kidnapping reported in Belize City; Parents urged to be on high alert

By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Police Department is asking parents to be on high alert after an alleged attempted kidnapping in Belize City this morning.

Reports are that the victim, a female minor, was in the vicinity of 88 Shopping Center at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Penn Road when two dark-skinned men tried to force her into a black van which was heavily tinted.

The victim, who is now traumatized by the incident told police that her attackers let her go because someone was passing by and drove off.

Police are currently investigating and say that the van was allegedly seen in Ladyville Village as well.

Investiations into the incident are ongoing.
