By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Last Wednesday, Hurricane Lisa battered Belize damaging homes, schools, businesses and knocking off power and internet.
As residents in Belize City return to normalcy, many of them are yet to get their Internet connection restored.
Smart Belize recognizes that internet connectivity is very important for students for home work, research and other class assignments.
Commencing today, students and teachers can access FREE Wi-fi at the Port Loyola Library and the Fort George Resource Center in Belize City.
Residents can visit these centers from 9am to 6pm to access the W-fi.
“At the same time, Smart crews continue restoring Internet connections in the City and elsewhere in areas affected by the storm. We will be updating customers in Belize City as we progressively restore Internet services,” Smart said.
