Sandhill man injured in drive-by shooting

By Aaron Humes: 24-year-old Jordan Morillo Wade of Mile 16, Philip Goldson Highway, Belize District, has been stabilized at the hospital after being shot on Wednesday night.

Police investigations so far reveal that a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) of unknown make and model was driving south on the highway and upon encountering two persons standing along the highway, the driver fired several shots towards them.

Morillo was identified as one of the alleged targets and sustained apparent gunshot injuries to his body. It is not known what happened to his companion at this time.

Police investigations continue.
