Block of cocaine washes up on the beach

By Breaking Belize News Staff: This week police recovered a block of cocaine that washed up on shore at one of the Cayes.

Police say that on Sunday, November 6, a night security guard reported that a black, rectangular package washed up on the beach.

Police came and inspected the package and learned that it was a parcel of cocaine weighing 1.197 grams. The drugs were labeled as found property.

While police Commissioner Chester Williams clarified that the drugs were not found at the Caye it was initially reported, he did not disclose which Caye they were found.
