By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: An Iranian man who made Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport his home for 18 years and inspired the movie “The Terminal” died today in the airport, ABC News reports.
Merhan Nasseri died of a heart attack in the airport’s Terminal 2F.
Nasseri is believed to have been born in 1945 and lived in the airport’s Terminal 1 from 1998 until 2006, first in legal limbo because he lacked residency papers and later by choice.
Airport officials say that he had been living in the airport again in recent weeks.
