Police detain alleged armed robbers in Belize City

By Aaron Humes: Overnight, police arrested and charged two suspects in an armed robbery on Amara Avenue with keeping unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

The two men were allegedly picked up by officers one street over on Euphrates Avenue coming out of a bushy lot. The reportedly stolen cell phones were found on them while the stolen firearm was located nearby in the lot adjacent to the basketball court on Euphrates Avenue.

Investigations continue with respect to the reported armed robbery.
