By Aaron Humes: A businessman of the Burrell Boom area is safely back home, police have confirmed, after his whereabouts became a subject of concern over the weekend.
According to Deputy Head of National Crimes Investigation Branch (NCIB), Superintendent Gerald Jones, Alberto Morales, 29, had not been seen since November 10.
But the family has confirmed to police that he was back home and well, having gone out to the Mountain Pine Ridge Area where cell phone reception is not the best.
Superintendent Jones issued this reminder to avoid a missing persons report being issued about you: “If their family member or they are going anywhere, to do any errand or whatever situation…that they at least inform a family [member or] relative that they are going to do X, Y, Z, so that they know [their] whereabouts so that at the end of the day it doesn’t create a panic.”
He noted that police have recently been getting missing person reports where the subject has simply gone somewhere and failed to tell anyone. Even if you prefer to keep your business private, he said, just at least ensure that someone knows where you are so that questions can be answered and unnecessary anxiety avoided.
