Garifuna exhibition on display at the Belmopan Civic Center

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: November 19 is Garifuna Settlement Day in Belize and the Garifuna community around the country organizes events to highlight their culture, food, and traditions.

The Institute for Social and Cultural Research (ISCR) NICH in collaboration with the Belmopan City Council, Helping Hands Resource Center, National Heritage Library, Belize Archives, and Records Service, and We Art Gallery are hosting a Garifuna exhibition at the Belmopan Civic Center.

The exhibit opens daily this week between 8 am-5 pm.

Schools are invited to schedule their visit with Emily Martinez at 6300572.
