By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man charged with drug trafficking claims that police only caught him with over-the-counter medications and not crack cocaine.

Initially, Dixon tried pleading guilty to the lesser charge of possession simplitica; however, after an adjournment, the prosecution rejected his plea. After the facts were read to him, Dixon said that the police did not know what they caught him with, contending that it was simply Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Benadryl.
Bail was granted to Dixon in the sum of $4,000 plus either one surety of the same or two sureties of $2,000 each, which he was able to meet.
He is due back in court in January 2023. Meanwhile, police have sent the drugs to the National Forensic Science Service for testing.
